Council's Prostate Cancer Screening Programme Enters Second Year

6 Mar 2026

Stratford-on-Avon District Council will start its 2026 health screening events on Saturday 21 March, marking National Screening Day during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

All appointments have to be booked in advance at sdc.mypsatests.org.uk

The initiative was launched by Cllr Stuart Keighley following his own experience with prostate cancer.

Tests cost £14 and include prostate screening for men over 40, plus diabetes and cholesterol checks all for adults.

Last year, 1,100 tests were carried out, with 24% of men screened referred to their GP for further checks.
