New women-only accommodation opened in Stratford-upon-Avon from Lib Dem council

Cllr Liz Coles, Portfolio Holder for Housing and Customer Services at Stratford-on-Avon District Council, was delighted to open 6 new studio flats which are women only supported housing in Stratford. This is one of many actions that the Liberal Democrats have taken to help with the housing crisis and we will continue to work hard for those who are affected. 

1,075 people approached the authority for help with homelessness in the last financial year, 2025-26, including 688 from single households. Of these, 283 were women - around 41% of all single applicants. Domestic abuse forms a large part of the reason for homelessness.
